In ?, historian and philosopher of science probes the assumptions that underlie the generally accepted view that germ cells (sperm and egg cells) have limited capacity to regenerate. 鈥淭his book is about germline regeneration 鈥 how many scientists assume it works and how we can reenvision it working,鈥 MacCord writes.

The volume derives from a collaboration between MacCord and germline biologist , a former Hibbitt Fellow at 小蓝视频 (小蓝视频), where they joined together to produce the work.

MacCord is the McDonnell Fellow and program manager for the at the 小蓝视频, the goal of which is to 鈥渂ring historians and philosophers of science into collaboration with life scientists in order to transform the research of both fields.鈥
